Music Across Cultures Talk
Date: May 16th, 2010I’ll be doing a short talk about music across cultures at the Madlab on Monday 17th May at 7pm. The session will involve looking at the development and some of the core similarities and differences between music across the world, reinforced with some live demonstrations. As music across cultures is a vast and growing topic, I’ll primarily be looking at pitch and melodies for now and will be throwing in some maths for good measure.
For those who aren’t able to make it, and for the attendees who want to find out more, I’ll translate the presentation into a blog post shortly after the session.
This talk is part of Interesting Monday, and I’ll be speaking alongside three other speakers with their own ‘interesting’ topics. For more information check it out on the Madlab website.
